Quinoa - <p>Ecuadorian quinoa (<em>Chenopodium quinoa</em>) has unique organoleptic and nutritional properties compared to quinoa produced in other markets. Grown in the inter-Andean valleys at altitudes of 2,500 to 3,800 meters above sea level, it has a distinctive golden color and is known as "golden quinoa." Quinoa is valued as the only food of vegetable origin that contains all essential amino acids, trace elements and vitamins, and does not contain gluten. It is a great source of calcium, iron and vitamin B. Ecuadorian quinoa is only lightly polished, maintaining its organoleptic characteristics through an environmentally friendly and lower cost industrial process. Available in two varieties: Tunkahuan (sweet, low saponin) and Pata de Venado (sweet, low saponin, organic). </p>

Available in bulk (polypropylene or kraft paper bags of 12kg, 25kg, 50kg) and retail packaging (cardboard boxes and 250g bags). Also available as value-added products: flakes, pastas, snacks, compotes, pops, quinoto and quinoa-based beverages. Shipped in 20 to 40-foot containers. Certifications: USDA Organic, BRC, HACCP, Fairtrade, EU Organic, Kosher. Main production zones: Chimborazo, Pichincha, Carchi, Cañar, Cotopaxi, Imbabura.
