- What experience stands out to you from SIAL Paris 2024?

SIAL Paris 2024 was a milestone for our team. For us, it wasn’t just a trade show — it was a statement that Ukrainian food innovation has a voice on the global stage. Winning the SIAL Innovation Grand Prix 2024 was an unforgettable moment — not only for snEco, but for our entire country. It symbolized resilience, creativity, and the power of innovation even in the hardest circumstances. Seeing visitors and jury members react to our product with surprise and admiration — “is this really made only from cheese?” — remains one of the most rewarding moments in our journey.

- Did you notice a “SIAL Innovation effect” following your participation and award?

Absolutely — the “SIAL effect” was immediate and very real. The award gave snEco international credibility and opened doors to markets we had been trying to reach for years. We received dozens of requests from importers, distributors, and retailers across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia within weeks.

Beyond business leads, the award also changed how people perceive Ukrainian products — it showed that innovation, design, and quality can stand on par with global leaders. It has since helped us build partnerships with major retail and distribution companies and positioned snEco as one of the most promising healthy snack brands in the region.

- In your view, what makes your brand successful today?

Our success comes from three key elements: technology, authenticity, and purpose.

We developed a patented low-temperature dehydration process (inspired by NASA food technologies) that transforms real cheese into a light, crispy, and shelf-stable snack — preserving nutrients, protein, and natural taste.

At the same time, snEco is built on values: 100% natural ingredients, clean label, and sustainability. We relocated production during the war, rebuilt the business from scratch in Western Ukraine, and then opened a new EU-based factory in Slovakia in 2025. That resilience, combined with our innovative product and strong team spirit, truly defines who we are today.

- How are you evolving your business model to stay competitive?

We are evolving from a purely branded manufacturer into a flexible international food company with multiple growth directions:

  • EU-based production (Slovakia) — ensures smooth logistics, stable supply, and “Made in EU” labeling for retail and private label partners.
  • Private label partnerships — offering our technology and expertise to global retailers and distributors seeking clean-label, high-protein snack solutions.
  • New categories — we’re developing functional and low-fat protein lines, HoReCa formats, and even innovative cheese-based ingredients for food manufacturers.
  • Sustainability — our production partially runs on solar energy, and we aim for zero waste and full recyclability of packaging.

We understand that competitiveness today comes from agility, co-creation, and authentic storytelling — and we’ve built our business model around that.

- Looking back, what do you take away from your SIAL Paris experience?

SIAL was transformative for snEco. It taught us that innovation is not just about product — it’s about courage, presentation, and connection. The fair gave us enormous exposure, but also helped us understand global market trends, consumer expectations, and the importance of branding in the food industry.

We came back from SIAL with more than just new contacts — we came back with confidence. Confidence that a Ukrainian brand can win, compete, and inspire at the world’s biggest stage for food innovation.

- Can we count on seeing you again at SIAL Paris 2026?

Definitely! SIAL has become a key part of our global strategy. It’s not just an exhibition — it’s where the future of food is shaped. We are already planning our participation for SIAL Paris 2026, and we look forward to presenting our next generation of products there.

- In 2026, SIAL Innovation will celebrate its 30th anniversary — do you already have an innovation in the works that could take part in the competition?

Yes — we’re developing a completely new line of functional, high-protein cheese-based snacks, combining our core dairy technology with natural superfood ingredients. At the same time, we’re working on cheese-based coatings and crumbs for professional kitchens and HoReCa — a clean, natural substitute for breadcrumbs or flavor enhancers. And some of the completely new products like crispy natural olives snack and more!

We would be proud to present these innovations at SIAL Paris 2026, especially as the event celebrates its 30th anniversary — a perfect stage to show how innovation and sustainability can coexist in a single product.
