The Marujyu Soysauce & Seasoning Corp. was founded in 1844 as a safflower trader. Safflower, which was produced mainly in Yamagata Prefecture and used as a coloring ingredient for textiles and cosmetics, was transported by ship to Kyoto and Osaka. and will celebrate its 182th anniversary in 2026.
The company began manufacturing miso and soy sauce around 1890.
In recent years, in response to changes in eating habits, the company has been working on developing new health-conscious, gourmet, and instant products. In addition to soy sauce and miso, the company also manufactures processed soy sauce products, various soups, and retort pouch foods for both home and commercial use, as well as OEM contract manufacturing.
Our company's certifications include organic(Miso), ISO9001, ISO22000, and Halal.
