As SIAL Paris prepares to return to Paris in October 2026, the international food expo unveils a new manifesto that places innovation at the centre of its vision, inspiring how the global food industry thinks, decides and acts.

From 17 to 21 October 2026, Paris Nord Villepinte will once again become a focal point for the global agri food community. SIAL Paris is returning for another edition and opening a new chapter. With an ambition to make innovation more accessible, more concrete and more actionable, the show positions 2026 as a defining moment for the sector.

Innovation has long been part of SIAL Paris’ identity, but the upcoming edition signals a deeper commitment. According to Audrey Ashworth, Director of SIAL Paris, innovation is not being treated as a trend or a showcase in isolation. It is framed as a strategic driver, one that helps professionals navigate accelerating market change, environmental constraints and evolving consumer expectations. The 2026 edition builds on this philosophy by connecting insight, inspiration and business execution across the entire show experience:

SIAL’s new manifesto

Innovation feeds us. Each and every day.

It nourishes our curiosity, our creativity, our desire to do better.

It feeds our thoughts, our plans, our commitments,

with new ideas, committed and modern practices, and real solutions.

Innovating today means working for a more vibrant world,

embracing our responsibility ahead of tomorrow’s challenges.

It means giving science a more tangible dimension,

in which pleasure and enjoyment play a key role.

It means making our nutritional and environmental challenges into experiences to live.

Innovation is at the heart of business.

It shapes our strategies, stimulates our markets,

and transforms the challenges we face into opportunities.

It’s a driving force behind what we do.

Innovating is choosing to give meaning to each action,

refusing to stand still and focusing on moving forward,

feeding the future with today’s intelligence.

This approach is what drives us,

bringing the energy that feeds us today

and sparking new ways of creating tomorrow.

With 85 percent of exhibition space already reserved, 8,000 exhibitors expected and close to 295,000 professionals anticipated across ten key sectors, SIAL Paris 2026 confirms its role as a major international food trade show and a platform where innovation is not only observed, but actively shaped.

Innovation as a strategic compass for 2026

This positioning reflects how the event understands its responsibility within the global food ecosystem. Innovation is presented as something that feeds daily decisions, business strategies and collective momentum.

SIAL Innovation

This approach is visible throughout the redesigned SIAL Innovation programme, which celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. Long recognised as a global reference, the competition is being reimagined with a new design and a more immersive experience, inviting visitors not only to see innovations, but to better understand and experience the food of tomorrow. Products and solutions selected through SIAL Innovation offer a snapshot of how nutrition, sustainability, pleasure and technology intersect across food industry sectors. It highlights the top innovations that visitors will be able to find on the show floor!

Across the exhibition halls, more than 650 startups will contribute to this dynamic. Through SIAL Start-up, the show confirms its position as a leading international stage for food tech entrepreneurship, welcoming young companies from around the world, showing how emerging ideas can reshape established value chains.

Innovation also means giving meaning to our actions, to build a more vibrant and sustainable world in the face of major global food challenges. The show is making a concrete commitment through SIAL For Change. In 2026, this initiative will take on a new dimension: the competition will become a dynamic and committed space, designed to bring out and accelerate the most innovative CSR strategies, rally the entire sector and transform commitments into concrete actions, both in France and internationally.

SIAL Taste is also taking on a renewed role. It will be fully integrated into the heart of SIAL Innovation, creating a larger and more immersive space dedicated to tasting and dialogue. This evolution reflects the conviction that innovation must also be sensory and experiential, particularly in a market where consumer expectations increasingly combine meaning, enjoyment and personalisation.

SIAL Taste

Decoding change through insight and collective intelligence

Beyond products and pitches, SIAL Paris 2026 places strong emphasis on understanding transformation. This dimension is driven by SIAL Insights, co created with Kantar, Protéines XTC and Circana. Available year round and amplified during the show, these insights decode major market trends, consumer behaviour shifts and weak signals shaping the future of food.

This analytical foundation feeds directly into the SIAL Talks, offering five days of discussions with key voices from across the food industry landscape. These sessions are designed to help professionals anticipate change and translate insight into concrete strategic decisions.

SIAL Talks

Meanwhile, the SIAL Summit brings together international experts, researchers, executives and decision makers. The 2026 programme is structured around three major questions: the future of food systems by 2030, the impact of technology, data, platforms, and artificial intelligence in agri-food supply chains, and the changing expectations of consumers in terms of pleasure, health and ultra personalisation.

A living platform designed to accelerate business

SIAL Paris defines itself as a show that is lived, not simply visited. In 2026, this philosophy translates into new tools designed to accelerate connections and decision making. A redesigned matchmaking platform, powered by artificial intelligence, will enable exhibitors and buyers to organise targeted meetings more efficiently.

This digital approach is supported on site by the new Meet and Match space, an enhanced business lounge where speed meetings and informal exchanges take place in a focused environment. The goal is to help professionals understand faster, decide faster and innovate more effectively, whatever their role within the global food ecosystem.

Guided SIAL Tours will further enrich the experience by offering curated thematic or sector based routes led by expert partners, allowing visitors to explore the show with greater precision and relevance. Innovation will also be present throughout the exhibition hall, as each exhibitor offers visitors their own unique experiences.

Following a record 60th anniversary edition in 2024, SIAL Paris 2026 is reinforcing its ambition to connect the entire international food community, generate business opportunities and provide a clear vision of the forces transforming food at a global scale, all with innovation feeding that drive.
