II. Product Advantages2.1 Raw Materials2.1.1 Geographical Indication Origin
Seabuckthorn berries are harvested in Youyu County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province, home to Shahu Pass, a key ancient Great Wall gateway also known as “Xikou”. “Youyu Seabuckthorn” holds the national geographical‑indication certification trademark (Registration No.: 67707181).
2.1.2 Seabuckthorn Variety
Youyu seabuckthorn is a small‑fruited variety. Although its berries are small, they are highly nutritious, rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, β‑carotene, flavonoids and other antioxidant substances. According to the 6th standard edition of China Food Composition Table, fresh seabuckthorn berries contain 800‑1500 mg of vitamin C per 100 g.
2.1.3 Premium Growing Region
Youyu County lies between 39°31′N‑40°18′N at an average altitude of 1500 m. During the growing season, it enjoys around 9 hours of daily sunshine with a diurnal temperature difference of up to 20 °C. The area has an arid, low‑rainfall climate and loose alkaline sandy soil typical of the Loess Plateau. These unique geographic, soil and climatic conditions create the outstanding quality and high nutritional value of Youyu seabuckthorn.
Youyu has 300 000 mu of naturally‑grown seabuckthorn forests with no chemical fertilisers or pesticides, delivering clean, pollution‑free raw material. In 2024, Youyu County was awarded the United Nations “New Urban Agenda Award for Sustainable Urban and Human Settlements”.
2.1.4 Organic Certifications
‑ Organic Seabuckthorn Berry Raw‑material Base Certification (Certificate No.: 249OP2300262) ‑ Organic Seabuckthorn Puree Production & Processing Certification (Certificate No.: 249OP2300263)
2.2 Production Technology
Made with NFC (Not‑From‑Concentrate) process, cold‑pressed fresh fruit and dual‑channel cell‑wall‑breaking pulping. The whole fruit — peel, juice, pulp and fruit oil — is fully utilised. All natural nutrients are well preserved in every drop of puree. No fruit oil is removed, so fat‑soluble nutrients remain intact for better human absorption.
2.3 Expert Endorsement
Cao Man, Founder and Technical Director, winner of China’s First‑Class National Science and Technology Progress Award. With over 40 years of seabuckthorn‑industry experience, he leads full‑chain R&D covering planting, variety improvement and product development to deliver reliable premium quality.
III. Consumer Instructions3.1 Suitable Groups
Suitable for children aged 3 years and above, as well as the general public.
3.2 Consumption Scenarios
Ready‑to‑use for any occasion: nutritional breakfast boost, post‑meal refreshment, energy support for work and study, or convenient daily nutrition on‑the‑go.
3.3 Usage Suggestions
3.3.1 Direct drink: Shake well before drinking for original‑flavour lovers. Using a straw helps reduce sharp sourness. 3.3.2 Diluted drink: Mix puree into 200 ml room‑temperature purified water. Add honey or sugar to taste and stir gently. Do not use water above 30 °C to avoid damaging vitamin C and other nutrients. 3.3.3 With yoghurt or oatmeal: Stir an appropriate amount of puree into yoghurt or oatmeal for extra fruit flavour and nutrition. 3.3.4 Smoothie: Blend 1 banana, 200 ml yoghurt or milk together with 15‑30 ml seabuckthorn puree for a smooth, well‑balanced smoothie. 3.3.5 Sparkling drink: Combine ice cubes, 200 ml sparkling water and seabuckthorn puree, stir lightly.
3.4 Recommended Daily Intake
50‑100 ml per day, ideally consumed within half an hour before or after meals.
3.5 Taste Profile
This seabuckthorn puree is predominantly sour with gentle natural astringency, finishing with fruity notes and subtle sweetness. The strong initial sourness comes from natural vitamin C, followed by a pleasant sweet‑fruity after‑taste. With regular consumption, most consumers grow accustomed to this distinctive flavour.
IV. Important Notes
4.1 This is a natural agricultural product. Minor variations in colour and taste due to different harvest periods are normal and do not affect product quality.
4.2 Seabuckthorn fruit oil is retained in this product. Sediment, tiny lumps or floccules are natural aggregates of pulp fibres, pectin and lipids. This is normal; shake thoroughly before use.
4.3 Store unopened in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep refrigerated and consume promptly.

More info
Raw material production process: Utilizes NFC (non-concentrated, non-reduced juice) cold-press technology for fresh fruit processing. The entire fruit is blended into a paste without adding oil, water, or diluting it, thus preserving all the fruit’s nutritional components.
Three-stage pulp preparation ensures the retention of all nutrients.
Single-stage wall-breaking and blending: The entire fruit is processed to ensure that the pulp and juice are fully mixed.
Secondary beating: Perform secondary beating on the remaining pulp residue to ensure that the peel and flesh are fully incorporated into the pulp mixture.
Three-stage seed pulp separation: Separate the seed pulp, grind it, and mix it with the previous two batches of pulp to ensure optimal pulp yield and flavor.
Production process: After pasteurization and cooling/sealing, the product is conveyed onto a conveyor belt and then sent into a tunnel. It undergoes spray pasteurization at 85-88°C, followed by cooling for 10 minutes to room temperature. This effectively ensures the product’s color and taste while maximally preserving its nutrients.
