More info
Wilbur Packing Company Preservative-Free Pitted Prunes are produced from California-grown plums that are harvested, dried, mechanically pitted, inspected, and packaged without intentionally added chemical preservatives, including potassium sorbate. The finished product exhibits the naturally dark brown to purple-black color, characteristic sweetness, prune aroma, and soft-to-chewy texture expected of quality California prunes, with normal variations associated with an agricultural product. Product quality and stability are maintained through controlled processing, moisture management, hygienic handling, appropriate packaging, and proper storage. These clean-label prunes are suitable for direct consumption, retail, foodservice, export, and industrial applications including bakery, cereal, snack, confectionery, fruit preparation, and other food-manufacturing uses. Finished lots should be evaluated against Wilbur Packing Company’s approved specifications and applicable customer and regulatory requirements for moisture, physical defects, microbiological quality, chemical parameters, and other lot-specific acceptance criteria.
