Detailed description
Gourmet Beans — Vanilla planifolia
Origin: North Sulawesi, Minahasa Tenggara District, Indonesia
Premium Vanilla planifolia beans from North Sulawesi, cultivated in agroforestry systems on volcanic soils under the shade of banana and cacao trees. The flowers are hand-pollinated, and the pods are selectively harvested at full maturity after approximately nine months.
After harvest, the beans are sun-dried under a dome and slowly cured through a double-fermentation process inspired by the Bourbon method. The result is a supple, fleshy gourmet bean with a round and elegant aromatic profile combining cocoa, caramel, jasmine, white flowers, soft woody notes and light pepper, together with pronounced natural sweetness.
Designed for professional use in pastry, chocolate, ice cream and fine dining, this vanilla is supplied as a single premium grade of whole, unsplit 19 cm beans.
