Detailed description
Overview
Go Chill is a ready-to-drink (RTD) milk-and-coffee beverage carrying the Delta signature, developed within the Nabeiro Group under the Delta Cafés brand. Launched in 2019, it was created as part of the Mind – Modelo de Inovação da Delta, the group's internal innovation platform.
Positioning
Go Chill targets a generation with new coffee-consumption habits — mobile, urban, and always on the move. The "on the go" concept is designed for anywhere, anytime consumption: between classes, in meetings, on the metro, or during a quick break, packaged in a practical glass cup. The brand positioning leans toward a younger audience, rooted in surf, skate, and travel culture, though Delta notes the communication reaches across age groups, from 18 to 55.
Product range
Go Chill is available in seven varieties, including:
- Caffè Latte — espresso, milk, and creamy milk foam
- Cappuccino/Cocoa — espresso, steamed milk, velvety foam, touch of cocoa
- Cappuccino/Oat — lighter combination of espresso and organic oat drink
- Double Espresso — two espressos, no added sugars
- Caramel Macchiato
- Cookies & Cream — more recent launch, coffee with cookies and cream notes
- A coffee-free variant — ready-to-drink chocolate milk
The Caffè Latte format, for example, contains 67% whole milk and 25% Delta coffee, plus sugar, maltodextrin and stabilizers, in a standard 230ml cup.
Product development
According to Rui Túbal, Marketing Manager for Mais Marcas at Grupo Nabeiro-Delta Cafés, developing a new flavor takes four to eight months, from market trend analysis, to flavor shortlisting, to consumer testing via social media and events, before final launch.
Communication
Go Chill relies on a fashion-inspired visual identity, digital and outdoor (mupi) campaigns, an active Instagram (@gochillbydelta, ~16,000 followers), and a dedicated site (gochill.pt), using taglines like "Never Still Always Chill" and "Go Chill or Go Home."
