Detailed description
Overview
Ground coffee is one of Delta Cafés' core, traditional product categories, alongside coffee beans, capsules (Delta Q), instant coffee, and RTD drinks in the group's wider portfolio. The range is built around single-origin and blended references, each named after its country or region of origin, giving distributors and retailers a clear, geography-driven product line.
Roasting philosophy
Across the range, Delta uses a consistent production method: slow drum roasting at approximately 194°C for around 20 minutes. This gentle, extended process is designed to develop aromas in a balanced way without leaving excess oiliness on the bean, resulting in coffees that are full-bodied and creamy, with low oiliness and a harmonious flavor.
Origin-based range
- Portugal — Arabica and Robusta blend from top growing regions, full-bodied with light acidity and delicate aroma; positioned as an authentic expression of Portuguese coffee culture
- Brazil — sourced largely from Cerrado Mineiro and Sul de Minas, balanced acidity, sweet and fruity tropical aroma, good body and rich aroma
- Colombia — smooth, velvety blend with slight citrus notes, sourced from the Tolima and Huila regions
- Vietnam — single-origin Arabica from central-western Vietnam, medium caffeine, full-bodied and chocolatey
- Ritual — Tanzanian Arabica with Angolan Robusta, very intense and full-bodied, red berry and dark chocolate notes, positioned for daily espresso, mocha, or filter coffee
- Lote Chávena — finely ground espresso blend of Brazilian and Guatemalan Arabica with Ugandan Robusta, optimized for portafilter/espresso machines, with malt, hazelnut, and dark chocolate notes and dense, velvety crema
The broader Delta catalogue also includes blends built on Brazilian/Guatemalan Arabica with Ugandan Robusta (malt, chocolate, hazelnut notes), and Angolan Robusta with Guatemalan Arabica (caramel, roasted nut notes), plus a caffeine-free 100% barley alternative with no added fats or sugars.
Positioning
The ground coffee line is presented as a way to bring authentic, origin-specific coffee experiences home — from everyday breakfast blends to more intense, ritual-oriented options — using traditional brewing methods (filter, French press, moka pot, or espresso machine) rather than the capsule system.

Note on nutritional/technical data sheets
Public retail listings for Delta's ground coffee don't carry a standardized nutritional declaration table (unlike Go Chill, which is a packaged beverage subject to that labeling requirement) — ground roasted coffee typically isn't required to display kcal/macronutrient panels the same way, since it's an unprepared dry product. If you need a formal technical/spec sheet (moisture content, caffeine % by weight, particle size distribution for a specific grind, shelf-life duration, pallet/carton configuration) for a distributor or regulatory submission, that level of detail usually comes from Delta's internal quality/export documentation rather than public retail sources — happy to help draft the request to Rui, Carlos or Lara if useful.
