Description: Szydłów plums with pits from our farm (500 g package) have successfully passed a production process compliance check with the registered specification, earning the right to use the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) symbols and labels.

Origin & Heritage: Officially entered into the European Commission’s register of Protected Geographical Indications on October 30, 2010 (Council Regulation (EC) No 510/2006). The geographical production area covers the commune of Szydłów (108 sq km), located in Staszów County, Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, Poland.

Traditional Production: Dried and smoked using traditional methods in hardwood-fired drying facilities. Traditional drying on wooden racks (“laski”) is the oldest method of processing and preserving fruit. The gentle smoking process imparts a subtle smoke flavor and aids long-term preservation without the need for artificial preservatives. It is a 100% natural product.
