Detailed description
Brigadeiro is a fudgy bonbon, a traditional Brazilian dessert created in1946 in honor of Brigadier Eduardo Gomes, a presidential candidate. Originally called "Doce de Brigadeiro" (Brigadier’s Sweet), it became popular at social events and fundraisers during the election campaign. Although Gomes lost the election, the dessert won the hearts of Brazilians.
The traditional Brigadeiro is a two-bite chocolate ball rolled in sprinkles.Although it resembles a truffle, it offers a richer flavour thanks to condensed milk. While typically very sweet, our contemporary recipe is crafted to be less sweetand dense, with each Brigadeiro weighing around 16 grams.
