In 2011 one third of the human food was wasted or lost worldwide, which represents 1.3 billion tons per year. In a context where economic and environmental issues predominate, everyone is involved in fighting against food waste, which covers economic, ethic and environmental aspects. At what levels of the  food chain is it essential to take action? What is the level of awareness of key players? What methods and practical approaches have been developed?
