Exhibitors, enter your wines for the Best Buy event.
The Best Buy competition rewards and highlights wines that provide particularly good value for money in a wide range of price brackets in order to respond to all listing requirements. SIAL exhibitors can register from March 2012.
Best Buy key words
- Good value for money
- 6 price categories: less than €2, €2–4, €4–6, €6–10, less than €10, and below €15
- A jury of professionals
- An award ceremony held during the exhibition
- A tasting area open to all SIAL visitors
- 148 wines from 11 countries, 29 of which received awards in 2010
A jury of wine specialists
A jury with well-grounded expertise (oenologists, sommeliers, buyers, importers, and journalists) conduct a blind tasting of the wines entered by exhibitors. Each one judges the wine not only according to its organoleptic properties but also its ex-cellar price. Wines with the best price–quality ratio are elected Best Buy 2012.
The Best Buy 2012 award winning wines will be exhibited and can be tasted in the Wine Innovation Forum tasting area.
